2 The calculation of the production capacity of open pit mines shall comply with the following provisions:
(1) It shall be checked according to the number of excavators and the capacity of a single excavator that may be arranged on the mining steps working at the same time;
(2) It should be checked at the annual rate of decline;
(3) Reconstruction, expansion or large-scale open pit mines shall verify the passing capacity of the throat section of the transport line.
3 The production capacity of open pit mines shall be checked according to the number of excavators and the capacity of a single excavator that may be arranged on the mining steps at the same time. The inspection of open-pit production capacity shall comply with the following formula:

N —the number of excavators that can be placed in a single mining step;
L P - the length of the mining work line ( m ) that can be placed in a single mining step ;
L o — the length of the working line occupied by a single excavator ( m );
Q P - average production capacity of a single excavator ( t/a );
m — number of steps in the simultaneous mining.
4 The annual production capacity of each bucket of single bucket excavator should be selected according to the provisions of Table 1 .

5 When verifying the production capacity of open pits according to the annual decline rate, the annual decline rate should meet the requirements of Table 7.2.5 . Mines that use steep mining, staged mining, or early stage production with little reduction in mines can determine the rate of decline at a new level of preparation time.
