(City Intelligence) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to establish a long-term strategic partnership in the field of urban water security. The two parties will jointly establish laboratories to explore innovative models for urban water safety management and help Chinese cities improve water safety monitoring, forecasting, early warning, and emergency response capabilities.
After a series of work, the development of smart water services has made great progress. According to the data from the Foresight Research Institute, as of the end of 2016, the provincial-level and higher-level water conservancy departments could accept 181,161 various types of water conservancy information collection sites, of which 144,693 were automatically collected. At the same time, in terms of information management, China's provincial-level water conservancy departments have deployed 5,474 sets of various types of servers, and the country has allocated 1,008 water conservancy satellite stations. In 2016, China’s water conservancy information collection and water conservancy information networks have basically covered the whole country.
