Kobelco Launches New 7-ton Hydraulic Excavator in Japan

It is reported that Kobelco announced that it has developed a 7-ton hydraulic excavator “SK75SR” with improved fuel performance, and has started sales since September 1, 2012.
In addition to the previously-installed automatic idling stop function, the new 7-ton hydraulic excavator developed this time is also equipped with the new operating mode “ECO mode”. Compared with the S model (energy saving and fuel consumption mode) of the old model product "SK70SR-2", the new product's ECO mode reduced fuel consumption by 27%.
In addition, compared with the old model, the normal H mode (job priority mode) and S mode respectively reduced fuel consumption by 6.1% and 13%.
The new product was manufactured at the Yokaichi Plant in Hiroshima City, and the plant started operating in May 2012. It is reported that the new product has inherited the low-noise technology "iNDr" of the SK70SR-2 that was successfully registered in NETIS (New Technology Information Provisioning System) in 2010, and is also applying for registration this time. In addition, relying on ECO mode, can further reduce fuel costs.
The annual sales target is 1,000 units, and the price is 10,793,000 yen (about 137,627,000 US dollars).
