Fujian's turtle cargo truck crashed down the slope causing 1 dead and 4 injuries

At 3:20 pm on September 5th, at a mountain road in Baofeng Village, Shange Township, Pinghe County, a truck blew up a slope more than 30 meters high, causing 1 death and 4 injuries. Currently, the cause of the accident is under investigation.

Passenger Huang Yanyi said that at the time, trucks loaded more than 4,000 pounds of soft-shelled turtles from a farm in Baofeng Village and were destined for Longhai. Do not know how it happened, when driving to the mountain road, the car suddenly fell down more than 30 meters high slope. He sat in the seat behind the driver's seat and heard a scream in the car.

After the incident, more than 50 people, including Pinghe Fire, Traffic Police, Police Station, 120 and enthusiastic villagers arrived. At that time, Huang Yanyi was shocked and had just escaped from the car. "My brother is still in the car. You are going to help him!" He saw the rescue workers and shouted at the truck.

Rescue workers found four trapped men in the car. Zhong Guoqiang, who was trapped in the driver's seat, was unconscious.

When rescue Zhong Guoqiang, rescue workers encountered difficulties. In order to lift the car body, fire officers and soldiers tried a variety of methods because the bamboo floor was soft and unable to find a fulcrum. The local police escorted an excavator emergency assistance from a nearby construction site. The excavator shovels the bamboo while excavating the soil and gradually approaches the truck. About 30 minutes later, the excavator opened a channel more than 20 meters long. The excavator pulled the front of the truck up and the fire brigade was able to rescue the wounded. However, as confirmed by the on-site medical staff, Zhong Guoqiang has no signs of life because of his injuries.

Pinghe County police revealed that the deceased Zhong Guoqiang was a Long Hairen, 46 years old. Of the 4 injured, 1 was from Nanjing and 3 from Longhai.
