The Winnetka Fire Department, part of MABAS Division 3, has officially introduced its new quint, marking a fresh chapter in the department’s visual identity. The 2010 Smeal quint arrived with a black roof, and the department unveiled a brand-new door seal design. This updated look features a gold and black Maltese cross that includes both "Winnetka" and "Kenilworth" in a clean, modern layout. Engine 28, a 2000 Pierce Saber, received a black top, the new decal, and fresh striping. Similarly, Ambulance 28 also got the same updated graphics. However, Engine 28R and Ambulance 28R still retain their original appearance, featuring the older door decal and color scheme.

When Winnetka first received Truck 28 in 1990, the original graphics were much simpler, with a sun rising on a lake as the central motif on the door seal.

Before transitioning to Station 28 as part of MABAS Division 3, the department used unit numbers in the '70s. Truck 70, seen here, was one of the department’s two aerial units before being replaced by Truck 28. They also had a 55-foot Snorkel in service at the time.
Winnetka Engine 28 now sports a black roof, a triple stripe pattern, and the newly designed door seal that reflects the updated branding.

The previous design for Engine 28 included lettering on the rear door listing both Winnetka and Kenilworth. These names are now incorporated into the new door seal, allowing more space for an eye-catching graphic that highlights the unit number.

When Engine 28 was purchased, it came with the classic "rising sun" door decal, which matched the earlier design of Truck 28.
