China Drying Network Conair Group will exhibit a new DC-T TouchView control device. The device is equipped with an easy-to-use interface for monitoring the entire polymer drying process. The new control unit is part of the central drying unit. The central drying unit includes a W300 CarouselPlus desiccant dryer, a four-bubble ResinWorks system with a patented Conair Dry Monitor. A large diagonal 8-inch touch screen interface displays all operations in the drying system. Operators can use fingertip touch to adjust, display current and historical temperature data, and include precise dew point control. The DC-T also provides a channel to control a multi-hopper central drying unit (such as the ResinWorks system). The multi-hopper central drying unit combines multiple hoppers on a sturdy platform using split air ducts, air ducts and wiring to simplify shipping, installation and operation. Each hopper can be equipped with a dry monitoring probe, with RTD sensors placed on the probe at regular intervals. The bar measures the temperature at up to 6 locations in the plastic material bed so that a temperature profile can be obtained to verify that proper drying conditions are maintained. Up to 15 hoppers equipped with Conair temperature controllers can be connected to the DC-T for monitoring and duplex control. All settings can be set, viewed, and adjusted on the dryer. Due to the standard network connection technology, the data of each dry monitoring probe, including the trend graph, can also be displayed on the DC-T monitor or elsewhere. Control systems on other Conair devices can also be connected to the network. Internet-enabled computers, tablets, or smartphones and anyone with the correct password credentials can connect to the controller to monitor conditions or modify settings.
