Autodesk advances its vision for Autodesk Construction Cloud

Since the introduction of Autodesk Build in 2021, we've been steadily advancing our vision for a connected construction experience through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), where tools for the entire digital building lifecycle come together seamlessly. Over the past year alone, we’ve rolled out nearly 300 product updates to ACC, enhancing functionality and connecting key workflows to help our customers meet the growing demands of global construction and infrastructure projects. At this year’s CONEXPO, we’re excited to share new updates that further enhance the consistency and connectivity of the end-to-end construction process—from design to preconstruction, build, and operations. One of the most significant announcements is the integration of AutoSpecs into ACC, offering users a unified and efficient submittal experience within the platform. AutoSpecs automates a traditionally time-consuming and error-prone process, allowing teams to generate submittal logs in minutes instead of weeks. This not only saves time but also allows teams to focus on higher-value tasks while ensuring accuracy. Powered by AI and Construction IQ, AutoSpecs analyzes project specifications against historical data to identify potential missing submittals, helping prevent costly mistakes before they occur. Additionally, AutoSpecs integrates directly with Autodesk Build, enabling users to track submittal statuses, create custom review processes, annotate documents, and save closed submittals—all from one place. Brian Athey, Director of Construction Innovation at Miron Construction, shared, “With AutoSpecs and Autodesk Build together in ACC, we significantly boost team efficiency and reduce the risk of missed submittals. We can’t wait to implement this in our workflow.” Users who purchase the ACC for Construction Operations bundle will gain access to AutoSpecs following its general availability on March 21, 2023. We're also updating the name of our mobile app to Autodesk Construction Cloud, reflecting our commitment to connecting teams across all project phases. The ACC mobile app serves as a centralized hub where users can access project data from Autodesk Build, Docs, BIM Collaborate, or PlanGrid—whether online or offline. It supports navigation of drawings and BIM models, collaboration on issues and checklists, markup creation, and linking project photos, among other features. These updates not only enhance functionality but also offer a more cohesive and customizable experience for ACC users. They empower customers to better align with their clients’ evolving needs while supporting ongoing innovation and growth. At Autodesk, we remain committed to listening to our customers’ pain points and delivering value where it matters most. We're excited about the future of construction and look forward to helping our customers achieve safer, more predictable jobsite experiences with ACC.
