Autodesk advances its vision for Autodesk Construction Cloud
Since the introduction of Autodesk Build in 2021, we've been working hard to bring our vision for a connected construction experience through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to life. ACC brings together all the tools and solutions needed throughout the entire digital building lifecycle, making it easier for teams to collaborate and manage projects from start to finish.
In just the past year alone, we’ve rolled out nearly 300 product updates across ACC, enhancing its capabilities and connecting essential workflows. These updates help our customers meet the growing demands of construction projects around the world, whether it's for buildings, infrastructure, or other complex developments.
And today, at CONEXPO, we’re excited to announce new features that take the ACC experience even further. These updates are designed to provide a consistent, connected, and end-to-end solution—from design through preconstruction, to actual construction, and finally to operations.
**Streamlined Submittals Process in ACC**
One of the most significant updates we're launching today is the integration of AutoSpecs into ACC. This new feature provides a unified and connected submittal process within the platform, helping users generate submittal logs in just minutes.
AutoSpecs automates a time-consuming and error-prone task that typically takes project teams weeks to complete. This allows teams to focus more on understanding specifications and engaging in high-value work, while still ensuring accurate and comprehensive submittal logs.
Additionally, construction teams can now use AI to identify missing submittal items before they become costly mistakes. Powered by Construction IQ, AutoSpecs analyzes current project specifications against historical data to suggest any potentially missing submittals.
With a direct integration, users can push the submittal log directly into Autodesk Build. This enables them to track submittal statuses, create custom review processes, annotate and markup submittals, and even save closed submittals—all in one place.
Brian Athey, Director of Construction Innovation at Miron Construction, shared, “With AutoSpecs and Autodesk Build integrated into ACC, we’re seeing a major boost in team efficiency during the submittal process and a significant reduction in the risk of missed submittals. We can’t get this in our hands fast enough.â€
Users who purchase the ACC for Construction Operations bundle will have access to AutoSpecs following its general availability on March 21, 2023.

**Aligning Our Mobile and Web Experience with the Next Phase of Our Vision**
At Autodesk, we’re focused on connecting teams, data, and workflows across every phase of the project lifecycle—on a single platform. We’re continuously strengthening these connections, enabling seamless data flow among project stakeholders. We understand that successful project execution depends on strong communication between teams in the office and those on the field.
Mobile is a crucial part of that success. With that in mind, we’ve renamed our mobile app to Autodesk Construction Cloud. The ACC mobile app serves as a centralized hub where users can access all their project information from Autodesk Build, Autodesk Docs, Autodesk BIM Collaborate, or PlanGrid—whether online or offline.
Teams can use the app to navigate drawings and BIM models, collaborate on issues and checklists, create markups, link photos, and much more.
**Creating a Connected Experience**
These updates add more functionality and offer customers a cohesive, customizable experience with ACC. They also give our customers the opportunity to revisit and better meet their clients' evolving needs as they continue to grow and innovate.
We are committed to building and maintaining trust with our customers—by listening to their biggest challenges and delivering value where it matters most. We're excited about the future of the industry and look forward to helping our customers achieve safer, more predictable jobsite experiences with ACC.
