Almost all of the trucks are equipped with an exhaust gas turbocharger. Simply put, it is an air compressor. 1: You must not drive when you are cold
After the vehicle stops overnight, the oil will flow back into the oil pan due to gravity. After the engine is started, it must be idling for about a minute to allow the oil circulation to be established so that the supercharger floating bearing is fully lubricated and then started.
2: Do not turn off immediately after high-speed operation
Because the turbocharger operates at a very high speed, it shuts off immediately after stopping at high speed, and the oil supply suddenly interrupts. At this time, the supercharger is still rotating at a high speed, and the oil in the floating bearing is quickly dried out. Damage to floating bearings. The correct method is to idle at least one minute before stalling and then extinguish the flame to protect the supercharger's floating bearing.
3: The oil and filter can not be sloppy
Supercharged engine operating environment is relatively harsh, so the oil demand is relatively high, in the choice of oil when the best in accordance with the manufacturer's required viscosity and level to use the replacement. 4: Air filter is also important
The air filter is also related to the turbocharger, because the turbocharger is generally a floating bearing structure. The seal of the bearing chamber mainly depends on the pressure difference between the two sides. If the air filter is not replaced in time, the intake vacuum degree will increase. At this time, the pressure difference between the two sides can not be established will lead to turbocharger string oil. In practice, the booster string oil is often the cause of this problem.
