Raw material prices rise North American tire prices increase

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC (BATO) recently announced that starting from November 1, 2011, Bridgestone, Firestone and other brands of passenger car and light truck original tires and replacement tires The price is raised by 8%.

Larry Magee, president of BATO, said: "Because of the increase in raw material and energy costs, we must make corresponding adjustments to tire prices. Pirelli, Japan’s Toyo Tires and Falken Tire have raised their tire prices by 8% from June to July this year; Michelin’s North America Division also announced that it has sold passenger cars such as Michelin, Belcherchi and Uniroyal in the United States. The price of light truck tires will increase by 9% from October 3 this year; the price of commercial vehicle tires will increase by 8%.
