While initial reports didn’t specify the speed of the black Volkswagen Jetta being driven westbound on Oakton Street by a 34-year-old man from Des Plaines, it was later revealed that the Jetta inexplicably veered into the eastbound lanes just east of Prospect Street, colliding with a white GMC SUV driven by a 49-year-old woman from Morton Grove.
