A gravimetric feeder is a self-calibrating dosing system that doses based on weight in speed. In gravimetric dosing, the weight of the dosed additive is measured using a load cell that is the foundation of the entire system. Weight is calculated using loss-in-weight technology, which measures the reduced weight while dosing. A volumetric feeder is relatively low priced dosing system. Accurate dosing cylinder. Stepper motor speed starting from 0.1 up to 200 rpm. A volumetric feeder, on the other hand, does this based on volume in speed. Autodesk Strengthens Connected BIM Capabilities with the Introduction of BIM 360 Design at AIA 2018
Autodesk is showcasing the future of design and construction at AIA 2018, highlighting how cloud-connected technologies are transforming the industry. Through its BIM 360 platform, energy analysis tools, and generative design capabilities, Autodesk is helping architects and engineers create smarter, more efficient buildings. Visit Booth #1257 in New York from June 21 to 22 to experience these innovations firsthand.
The latest AIA Firm Survey reveals that Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become nearly universal among large U.S. architecture firms and widely adopted by many mid-sized firms. Now, architects are taking BIM further by leveraging the power of the cloud to connect data across the entire building lifecycle. This new era of "Connected BIM" allows teams to optimize designs, share information in real time, and access project data anywhere, anytime. At AIA 2018, Autodesk will demonstrate how BIM 360 is leading this transformation.
At the event, visitors can explore BIM 360 Design, a cloud-based collaboration tool that enables teams to co-author Revit models, streamline workflows, and manage data efficiently. AECOM shared how using BIM 360 on a major healthcare project saved millions through early collaboration, proving the value of connected design.
In addition, Autodesk will highlight its support for the AIA 2030 Commitment, with expanded integration of the Design Data Exchange (DDx) tool. This automation helps firms track progress toward sustainability goals with ease. D/P/S, a multidisciplinary firm, reported a 47.7% reduction in energy use compared to national baselines—thanks in part to Autodesk Insight, which streamlines energy analysis within BIM models.
Autodesk is also celebrating the power of collaboration with a special event on June 21, where ASHRAE President Bjarne Olesen will discuss the importance of early architect-engineer collaboration. Insight, a cloud-based performance analysis tool, ensures data continuity throughout the design process, enabling better decisions and more sustainable outcomes.
Finally, don’t miss the Photoelastic Pavilion—a stunning installation created by Autodesk interns. This interactive exhibit uses photoelastic materials to visualize stress and forces, offering a glimpse into the future of adaptive architecture. Built using Dynamo and HowickMaker, it’s a perfect example of how technology and design can come together.
