Autodesk Strengthens Connected BIM Capabilities with the Introduction of BIM 360 Design at AIA 2018

Autodesk is showcasing the transformative power of cloud-connected design at AIA 2018 in New York, with a special focus on BIM 360, energy analysis, and generative design. Visit Booth #1257 from June 21 to June 22 to experience how these technologies are reshaping the future of architecture and construction. The latest AIA Firm Survey Report highlights that Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become nearly universal among large U.S. architecture firms and widely adopted by many mid-sized ones. As architects push the boundaries of BIM, they're leveraging the cloud to connect data across the entire building lifecycle, optimize designs through data insights, and access project information anytime, anywhere. This is the essence of Connected BIM, and Autodesk is leading the way with its latest innovations. At AIA 2018, Autodesk will demonstrate how BIM 360 serves as a powerful platform for connected project delivery. The new BIM 360 Design service, formerly known as Collaboration for Revit, allows teams to collaborate in real-time, co-author models in the cloud, and streamline workflows across offices, disciplines, and joint ventures. This makes collaboration more efficient and reduces delays caused by disconnected tools or processes. AECOM’s Building and Places team shared how BIM 360 helped save millions on a major healthcare project by enabling real-time digital coordination. “BIM 360 transformed our workflow,” said Russ Dalton, Americas director of BIM at AECOM. “It allowed us to collaborate effectively before construction even began, saving time and improving outcomes.” Beyond collaboration, Autodesk is also focusing on the future of project delivery. As the industry becomes more complex, there's a growing need for transparency, efficiency, and better risk management. At the AIA event, visitors can engage with a live artist, Colleen Cox, who will capture your thoughts on the challenges and opportunities in modern project delivery. Share your ideas and help shape the future of the industry. Autodesk is also expanding support for the AIA 2030 Commitment, making it easier for firms to report on their sustainability goals. The Design Data Exchange (DDx) tool automates reporting through a free API integrated into Autodesk Insight for Revit. Now, with the next phase of DDx development, firms can track more factors, gaining deeper insights and improving decision-making. D/P/S, a multidisciplinary design firm, used Insight to analyze energy use across one million square feet of new construction, achieving an average EUI reduction of 47.7% compared to national baselines. “With Insight, we can continue pushing toward even greater sustainability,” said Brandon Garrett, AIA. Another key highlight is Autodesk Insight, a cloud-based performance analysis tool that supports early collaboration between architects and engineers. At a special event hosted by the AIA 2030 Commitment and the AIA Codes and Standards group, ASHRAE President Bjarne Olesen will discuss the value of integrating energy analysis into the BIM process. Finally, don’t miss the Photoelastic Pavilion in Autodesk’s booth. Created by graduate interns, this installation uses photoelastic materials to visually reveal internal stresses in structures. Designed with Dynamo and fabricated using the HowickMaker plugin, it’s a stunning example of how generative design and material science can come together. Come see what’s next at AIA 2018—Booth #1257, June 21–22. Explore BIM 360, meet experts, and discover the future of design and construction.

SJW Serial Co-kneader

Melt pump is installed between the main extruder and the die. The benefits of melt pumps for extrusion operations includes the elimination of surging and other fluctuations, reduction of inconsistent melt temperatures, high pressures at lower product temperatures, compensation for the pumping or mixing capacity of the extruder, possibly reduced start-up times, and reduction of energy required by the extruder

Application:
--Color masterbatch/ Concentrates
--High loading filler masterbatch
--Hot-melt adhesive
--Engineering plastics compounding
--Engineered elastomers
