2-Alarm apartment complex fire in Glenwood, 2-13-16
Saturday morning (2/13/16) saw the Glenwood Fire Department respond to a second alarm after a fire broke out in a two-story, multi-unit building located at 800 East 191st Place. The situation quickly escalated as reports came in about heavy flames engulfing the upper structure, particularly in the cockloft area.
According to Eric Haak, who provided these updates, the first alarm was raised around 11:30 AM. By that time, the fire had already spread significantly, consuming much of the building's interior. He shared several photos that vividly capture the intensity of the blaze. In one image, thick smoke billows over the scene, making it difficult to see the full extent of the damage. Another shows firefighters battling the flames with impressive focus, their equipment casting long shadows on the ground.
