Under the EU Anti-Monopoly Investigation Tianhe Q4 Lawyer's Fees Nearly Ten Million US Dollars

According to news from foreign media, the US auto parts supplier Tianhe Group recently stated that although the net profit in the fourth quarter of 2011 has increased year-on-year, it is still plagued by the EU anti-monopoly investigation.

Trina and its rivals Otoliv are currently being investigated by the European Union's antitrust agency. In the fourth quarter of 2011, the legal fees paid by Tianhe for the EU antitrust investigation were US$11 million, and the lawyer fees in the third quarter were US$13 million. The EU started a monopoly investigation on TRW from July 2011.

Previously, Japanese parts suppliers Denso Group, Yazaki Corporation and Furukawa Electric were all fined by the U.S. Department of Justice for price monopoly.

According to an analyst at JPMorgan Chase, if TRW Group is identified as having a price monopoly, TRW may be fined US$ 400 million.
