Neighboring nine provinces such as Shaanxi, Gansu and Shanxi will share highway information

On August 22, the highway toll management department of Shaanxi Province and the highway charge management departments of Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Henan, Hubei, Sichuan, Gansu, Ningxia and Chongqing provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) signed the provincial highway in Xi’an. The Information Sharing and Cooperation Agreement will rely on the provincial road network monitoring systems to establish highway information sharing and regional coordination linkage mechanisms among 9 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), so that passengers and drivers can be informed about the traffic conditions of provincial highways in a timely manner.

Shaanxi Province is one of the provinces with the largest number of neighboring provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities). At present, it has achieved highway links with seven provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and there are altogether 17 outbound provinces. According to the plan, the “2367” network of Shaanxi Expressway, consisting of 2 loops, 3 north-south vertical lines, 6 Xi'an-centered radial lines, and 7 east-west horizontal lines, will be completed. The province will form 28 provinces. The channel will then be able to more effectively connect with neighboring provinces (regions, cities) and achieve convenient contact with neighboring provinces (regions, cities).

It is understood that the information content of the cooperation agreement sharing information covers all types of basic data and road accidents and other information on the highway. Nine provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) will provide each other with information on the state of highway road network within their respective provinces. At the same time, inter-provincial linkage and cooperation will be strengthened. In the event of road congestion, they will use their respective electronic information boards to send traffic information and provide timely support and assistance.
